Dave Dyment is an artist, curator and writer, working in Toronto. His work primarily investigates sound as a tool of measurement, and mines pop culture for shared associations and alternate meanings. Dyment's work has been shown in Calgary, Dublin, Edmonton, Halifax, New York City, Philadelphia, Toronto and Varga, Bulgaria. In 2008 he was selected as artist-in-residence for the Glenfiddich Distillery, in Dufftown, Scotland. Examples of his recordings can be heard on the YYZ anthology Aural Cultures, on "New Life After Fire", a collaboration with Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth and at www.davedyment.com. He is represented by MKG127 in Toronto.
